Piñata Panic| Dust Trail

This effect is a player-specific effect. When the character walks along any surface or flails around it spawns the trail emitter. To emulate a toon walking trail, I used a 3D model of spheres together and then use a transparent emissive material on said model. The emitter is stationary as the spawn rate is quick. That is the reason that when any part of the character touches the ground the trail won't lag behind or be too quick to disappear. 

 

This is visual effect work I've done for a junior game team project at the DigiPen Institute of Technology! This is the game Piñata Panic, is a third-person arcade action game. The player is a piñata whose mission is to fulfill its ultimate purpose of exploding into candy.
