Early Bird Predator Concept
Year:
Spring 2022
During this assignment, we had to showcase scale between two subjects. I already had an idea about a small robot tasked to observe the wildlife for research, so I captured a moment of danger. The perspective was the hardest part for me, but I still captured that scale between the two subjects.
Designing the flying creature was my favorite part! I used inspiration from feathered velociraptors combined with a bird called a sunbittern. Sunbitterns have lovely colorful eye patterns on their wings so when they feel threatened they bend and flare their wings. Combining the powerful anatomy of a velociraptor and the colorful patterns of the sunbittern to create a ferocious predator.
