The Ghostly Beast Concept

This was a fun creature concept I had in mind for a long while. I imagine this biome with tall jungle trees twisting as they grow which multiple trees twist into each other. The rays of light rarely reaching the jungle floor, where mushrooms can freely grow. Beasts, or travelers, getting lost quite often are visited by a wandering spirit. These spirits are easily recognized by small wisps that follow their trail truly noticeable in the shade. Following this beastly spirit, will surely guide you to your destination. 

Really pushing my environments through this illustration. Really testing my skills on using harsh blacks and mid greys to push out the ghostly appearance of the creature.
